Shabbat @ Shwayder Camp

Join us as we celebrate Shabbat @ Shwayder Camp. Enjoy this opportunity to experience a beautiful Shwayder Shabbat, participate in camp activities, see old friends and make new ones. An event for all ages. Bring your family and your friends and enjoy everything that Shwayder Camp has to offer.

10:00 a.m. - Shwayder Shabbat Service; Activities for Young Children

12:00 noon - Lunch

1:00 p.m. - Enjoy camp activities: ropes course, archery, hikes, arts & crafts and more

Captain's Log: Underway with a Jewish Sailor

A Program with Vice Admiral Herman A. Shelanski, Naval Inspector General

Vice Admiral Shelanski is the 40th Naval Inspector General, assuming these duties on 15 May, 2015. The Inspector General is tasked with inquiring into all matters of importance to the Department of the Navy; investigating and inspecting to uncover the truth; advocating for quality of life for Sailors, Marines, Civilians and Family; and promoting efficiency, effectiveness and readiness to maintain our Maritime Superiority. 

Originally from Wynnewood, PA, he is a second generation American descended from Lithuanian Jews. Although, being in the Navy is a secular career he has continued to follow his faith with Torah Dedications, Jewish Services and Holidays onboard Aircraft Carriers.

Shabbat (Really) Unplugged and Zach Rolf Welcome

Shabbat (Really) Unplugged is an all-acoustic version (with guitars, but no band) of our popular musical Shabbat worship experience.

We will also officially welcome Zach Rolf as our Director of Learning and Engagement during the service. This is a great chance to meet Zach. Come say hello!
